Price Drop

For anyone who thought I priced Mercenaries: A Love Story Book One too high, I've dropped it back to  $0.99.

It will be interesting to see what difference it makes, if any. At Smashwords, they track the number of sample downloads in addition to the number of sales, and while there have been several samples downloaded there, none have converted to sales. Oh, well. My experience is likely to have a slower start than Derek Canyon, for example.

The image to the right will take you directly to Amazon. If you prefer a non-Kindle version, the Smashwords page is here. Read the blurb and the reviews. If it looks interesting to you, try it out. You can comment here, too.

Thanks for reading!

  1. Yeah, I'm not sure what's going on! I had some great momentum until I broke the 1/month of Icarus Helix. No sales so far this month and measly the past two months. Wish I knew how to turn it around!

Did you see my newest releases?

  2. Could we guess that it's the season? I'm sure I don't know. For me, being the first thing I've put out, I could go to free and hope that readers would find it interesting enough to read subsequent stories. But you shouldn't need to do that. I guess the question is, where did your readers go? I haven't followed as closely as I should; did you put them off with a twist or turn they didn't expect?
But I think the advice is still the same: keep writing!
    Thanks for sharing.

  3. I bought it based on your post at Derek Canyon's blog, and I already read it. A well written book with a story that hangs together, no plot holes that I noticed. I can't say it's necessarily my usual fare but it was a good diversion from the type of stuff I read generally. Good luck.

  4. Scott, thanks much for your comment, I appreciate it. Hopefully it attracted enough interest that you might want to look at Book Two, out soon.
Whether or not, though, I appreciate your thoughts!
